The Music

The music played is broadly that of the famous Hot Club of France of the 1930s and 40s (the “gypsy jazz” repertoire) combined with jazz standards, swing, bebop and Brazilian music.

We are not sticklers on recreating the traditional Hot Club sound but usually keep to the swing or early bebop eras of jazz. We also frequently throw in a dollop of the blues for good measure

(The Tees Hot Club "Blues Section" performs gigs which concentrate on the blues such as the session on every alternative Sunday at the Queen Catherine Hotel in Osmotherley).
