Gypsy Jazz in London
If you are in London there is a specialist bar in Battersea which features live gypsy jazz music called QuecumBar Brasserie.
Gypsy Jazz in Paris
If you are in Paris there is a a traditional gypsy jazz bar open on a Saturday, Sunday and Bank holiday Monday afternoons in the flea market that is near Clignancourt metro station called "La Chope Des Puces"
The ultimate place to see gypsy jazz is the festival at Samois Sur Seine. This is on the outskirts of Paris. The nearest Metro station is Avon (at the end of the line). Samois is a little way from the Avon Metro but they may put on a free bus from Avon Metro to the Ile du Berceau where the festival takes place. The festival traditionally takes place on the last weekend in June. In 2007 it took place between from Thursday 28th June until Sunday 1st July. Sorry - you have missed it - but you should be able to get the 2008 listings, when available, from this site - Samois Festival
