The Blues
The blues and jazz are closely related musical forms so it will come as no surprise that the Tees Hot Club members include some seasoned blues players.
The Wednesday session at the Station in Stokesley usually includes "a blues spot" and the Tees Hot Club has also made regular appearances at the Guisborough Blues Festival run by the Guisborough Rhythm & Blues Club
Tees Hot Club "Blues Section"
When a specialist blues gig is required "The Blues Section" of the Tees Hot Club can be relied on to fill the spot. It includes musicians with strong blues credentials such as Duncan Lister (currently of the Ray Stubbs R'n'B Allstars and a founding member of the Blues Burglars), Keith Wilson (formerly of The Joe Walker Band, The Seaview Blues Band and Los Gatos Pantandas) and the vocal and guitar talents of Al Harrington (Al Harrington Band, Blueprint etc.).
There are various photographs on the Redcar Rythmn And Blues Club web site of Hot Club Members Gus Smith, Keith Wilson, Al Harrington, and Duncan Lister performing as back -up acts to various artists.

If you want to hear the Blues Section in action the Tees Hot Club also does a regular blues gig every alternative Sunday at the Queen Catherine Hotel in Osmotherley.
