The Club

The Tees Hot Club is a group of enthusiasts of "gypsy jazz" and related music styles of swing, blues, bebop, bossa nova etc. who are based in the Tees Valley area.

It consists of a core of musicians who meet regularly to perform this music, "The Tees Hot Club Band", supplemented by whoever else we can persuade to perform!

The Tees Hot Club meets for an informal "session" every Wednesday evening at the Station public house in Stokesley. There are no conditions of membership and no entrance fee (unless we book someone to perform - which has not happened yet).

The regulars do a bit of a performance but are happy to dish out chord sheets for people to play along. We hope it is a friendly and supportive environment for you to improve your guitar skills and familiarise yourself with gypsy jazz/ swing etc. There are no restrictions on the instruments played either. We even allow brass players to play! If you want to come along and perform a song, or two, three etc. that is fine.
